Market data has to live somewhere. The Exchange builds and operates the campuses that keep corridor records, settlement traffic and member evidence inside the jurisdictions that depend on them.

Every function the Exchange performs — admission, custody, clearing, settlement — produces records that must be retained, replicated and made available on demand for years. In the corridors we serve, that infrastructure has historically sat offshore, which made data residency a matter of negotiation rather than of design.

Corridors are defined by what can move along them. The Exchange lists the container, rail and terminal operators that make physical settlement possible.

A trade settles on the Exchange when title, payment and delivery are all confirmed. Delivery is the part that depends on operators no financial market has traditionally taken responsibility for: the container fleet, the rail line, the transshipment yard and the port terminal.

Midstream assets are the least visible and most decisive part of an energy corridor. The Exchange lists pipeline, processing and storage capacity as contractable infrastructure.

A long-haul network connects production to processing to market, and its available capacity determines what the corridor can support. That capacity has historically been allocated bilaterally, on terms no third party could see, which made it impossible for a new industrial member to plan around.

Generating capacity on the register is worth nothing to a member who cannot receive it. The connection layer — regulated distribution networks running from the main grid to homes, industrial parks and commercial sites — is where corridors either reach people or stop short of them.

Most transmission sits inside integrated utilities, bundled with generation and distribution. Standalone transmission businesses — regulated, wires-only, with no commodity exposure — are rare, and that rarity is exactly what makes them valuable to members seeking regulated infrastructure returns.

Connections fail, and someone has to answer. The Exchange lists the residential service operators that keep the last mile working for members and their households.

A corridor that electrifies households and small workshops creates an obligation it rarely plans for: emergency repair, routine maintenance and the cover that lets an ordinary household absorb a failure without losing its connection.

The largest generating platforms on the register anchor entire national markets. Listing them makes their scale usable by members who would otherwise never reach it.

Some generating businesses are systemically important: they own the largest hydro facility and the largest reservoir in their market, and the reliability of the national grid depends on how they are operated. Positions of that kind rarely become available, and when they do, the counterparties capable of underwriting them are few.
